Richard Mitchell Removals & Storage was established in 1876 and until the early 1970's operated from premises on Unley Road, Unley.

Well into the early part of this century removals were carried out by horse drawn pantechnicons. In the 1950's the company pioneered a regular run to the Northern Territory and for many years was the main transport source for most of Darwin's requirements.

Today the company is located in purpose built premises at North Plympton and operates a large fleet of specialist removal vehicles. As an alternative to road transport the company utilises the national rail network to transport containers to most destinations in Australia. This option can provide many benefits including the flexibility to hold goods for a selected period prior to delivery in the destination of your choice.

Richard Mitchell Removals & Storage is a founding member of the Australian Furniture Removals Association. Membership is granted only to those businesses which meet high standards in terms of storage facilities, vehicle suitability and staff training. As a member, Richard Mitchell Removals & Storage must adhere to strict guidelines in how it conducts its business and deals with customers.

In 1995 the company was one of the first in Australia to achieve quality endorsement to the ISO 9002 Standard. As a quality assured company service to our customers is our number one concern.
